This allows you to choose from a wide range of overall specifications to suit your needs, without incurring the costs of custom design. Deploying and transporting THIS Horsestock

When you arrive onsite, whether it’s paved road or in the field, you can have THIS Horsestock ready to deploy safely, easily and reliably; without need of complicated or troublesome power hook ups:

• Select a suitably flat and level location

• Remove one pin that retains the trailer tongue

• Release one latch behind each wheel to deploy the wheel catch plates

• Put the vehicle in reverse and let the engineering do the rest

• The dog legged trailer tongue allows for the tailgate to drop without unhooking

Once you’re ready to leave, stow all gear, secures gates, perform a quick safety check, then just drive forward enough to roll off the wheel catch plates, lift and secure them with their latches, replace the trailer tongue pin and you’re ready to go. Using a mobile stock has never been safer, simpler or easier.

A few words from Tom, “What I learned at the 2019 AAEP convention and trade show”

There is an apparent need for high quality portable and stationary stocks for in clinic use. While we received many compliments and quite a lot of interest in the towable mobile designs, it was the requests for building, options and information on “in clinic” portable and stationary stocks that were more common. Split level exit gates, removable-adjustable height sides & casters for in clinic mobility were options that came up more than once. I’m happy to say THIS is now offering all the mentioned options along with the continued ability to customize your build to any specification,(that does not compromise safety or the integrity of the build). I would be remiss not to mention the overwhelmingly positive comments and interest in our proprietary latch,(patent pending). Many practitioners asked if I would make our latch assembly available for retrofit to their existing stocks and that is under consideration. I’m particularly excited about the releasable side rails we’ve just designed. When attached, our removable-adjustable sides will retain more than ample structural integrity, have height choices from 46” to 38” & 30” and be releasable even under load. I’m also in the process of seeking out the best shipping options and the possibility of sourcing the assembly of units closer to final destination.

We did receive a criticism. One practitioner believed our builds to be too “robust”. We can offer the same designs in lighter materials if so desired. Savings would not in my opinion be significant; however, I am not a practitioner of equine medicine and no one knows their practice better than they themselves.

The basic stock I brought as the demo unit and the pre-production unit in the following video are no longer available but are in service with their new owners. The Effects of Covid on Production and Doing Business

First, I offer my heartfelt condolences to any and all that have suffered the loss of a loved one. I also offer thoughts and prayers for all that are troubled by the struggles of the day. Whether hardship is caused directly by the current pandemic, imposed restrictions or general uncertainty; I know it is not an easy time for most. My repair and fabrication business has been blessed with more work than I can do, yet the hardships of the day are impactful in many negative ways. Erratic availability of materials and parts, delays on deliveries, volatile pricing, shrinking profit margins, time losses dealing with restrictions and immeasurable “time sucks” seem to have become the norm for business and the day to day tasks for living. I know I am not alone.

Like most businesses I am looking for ways of dealing with these new realities. In my day to day work I have had to raise my rates to maintain viability. In order to continue THIS-horsestock as a viable startup I need to make some changes. To keep final customer costs down I can no longer build to order. I will only offer two limited production runs for 2021. At this time a production run will need to meet a minimum of three orders and a maximum of six. All orders will be initially run through New Lane Finance and considered “placed” with nothing down, on approved credit. Just before production begins customers will have an exact quote for a delivered unit and the option to cancel, authorize payment with New Lane Finance, pay directly or through their own financial institution. Production with a delivery date will begin when the above criteria is met with 50% down and the full balance due upon accepted delivery.

Last, I want to thank all that, like me, look to the future. To be looking forward is to be hopeful.
